Alex Avgud (1986) is a Russian-born photographer based in The Netherlands. His visual works explore issues such as migration, sexuality and the relativity of freedom through merging photography with choreographed performances. A similar approach is applied to fashion photography, in which he explores fashion as a social identity aspect and the human body as a vessel for expression. His black and white imagery ranges from very human and intimate to contrasting, graphical abstractions of mere shapes and silhouettes.
